If you’re like me, when you hear the name Pine-Sol, your mind immediately conjures up images of a bright yellow bottle of liquid with a green label. You probably remember your mom or grandma using it to clean the floors or windows. But you may not know that this multipurpose cleaner has many other great ways. This blog post will discuss some of our favorite surprisingly brilliant ways to use Pine-Sol.

Home-Made Fly Trap

Mix Pine-Sol and water in a bowl to make your fly trap. Next, add a few drops of dish soap to the mixture and stir it well. Then, pour the mixture into a jar or container with a wide opening. Finally, add fruit or meat to the mix to attract the flies. You can check on your trap periodically and empty it as needed.

Stain Remover

Pine-Sol is also great for removing tough stains. For example, if you have a coffee stain on your shirt, pour a small amount of Pine-Sol onto it and scrub it with a brush or sponge. You can also use Pine-Sol to remove grass, grease, and even bloodstains. Just be sure to test it on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first to ensure it doesn’t damage or discolor the material.

Pregnancy Test

If you suspect you may be pregnant but don’t want to spend the money on a store-bought test, you can use Pine-Sol to make your pregnancy test! To do this, mix Pine-Sol and urine in a bowl. Then, dip a paper towel or toilet paper into the mixture and place it on your skin. If the report turns blue, it means you are pregnant. If it doesn’t change color, you may want to take another test or consult with your doctor.
